Music Magazine Front Cover 2nd Draft
For the second draft of my magazine I took the feedback I received from my first draf and made the changes that were suggested. I changed the font for my main feature story as I was told that the font I had used was hard to read and I needed to find a font that differed from the font I used for my masthead. I reduced the size of my masthead and moved the plug higher up on my magazine to fit the conventions seen on a magazine. Also reducing the size of my masthead gave me a larger amount of space for my other feature stories. I changed the shape my plug is in to make it more interesting than that of just a circle and also to make it stand out more on the black background provided from the leather jacket. I changed the feature stories from one that was just restating the man feature story to a verity of stories that were all different from the main feature story in order to make the audience of my magazine more likely to buy it because of the verity of stories. I reduced the size of the barcode so it does not stand out as much as before and also so there is more space on the front cover. I continued to use the same picture as my previous draft as I believe it is the best picture I had taken for my front cover and I also believe it fits the genre of my magazine. I also continued with the colour scheme of black, white and red but I added a yellow backing for a couple of the feature stories to add more verity and also because the black text is easier to read on a yellow background than it would have been on a red background. I also continued to use the skyline and footer as I believe it gives a balance to the page and also allows for more information to be placed on the page. I changed the information in the skyline so that there was more featured.
